About ChicKen ScRatch:
ChicKen ScRatch Slings is under new ownership but it's still a family owned business, where each product is proudly handmade in the USA! I'm excited to be able to offer such a beautiful product that I really enjoy designing and sewing. I've been sewing since I was a child. My wonderful grandmother taught me how to sew. I worked in a professional costume shop while I was in college and really refined my sewing and garment construction skills. When I became a mom, it was so fun to put my sewing skills to good use making my own ring slings, wraps and mei tais for myself as well as friends. I got so many compliments on them, I decided to start selling them. When I found out that ChicKen ScRatch Slings was for sale, the timing was just perfect. It's an honor to continue to provide the high quality construction and beautiful design that ChicKen ScRatch Slings has come to stand for, thanks to our founder Laura Jane. I may be a new owner here at ChicKen ScRatch, but the product is the same. I'm offering high quality well constructed slings that are comfortable to wear, use beautiful fabrics and look fashionable, hip and chic.

At ChicKen ScRatch we pride ourselves in designing the perfect carrier for our customers which is functional and beautiful. ChicKen ScRatch Slings also promotes strong bonds between you and your child while creating lasting memories for many years to come.
All original slings were designed by Laura Jane, our founder. Now I am having fun continually expanding our line of slings with new designs that are fashionable, functional carriers that make you look and feel like a gorgeous mama!
About Heather and the fam:
Heather is the proud new owner and designer of ChicKen ScRatch Slings. She purchased ChicKen ScRatch Slings from Laura Jane in 2008 after the birth of her second child. She has been home with her children after spending 10 years as an elementary and middle school teacher, and middle school Dance Team coach. ChicKen ScRatch Slings is an answer to prayer because it is a business that affords her lots of time with her 2 children and loving, supportive husband. Heather has a passion for babywearing, and wants to give moms products that make them look beautiful, while making their busy lives easier. They live in a suburb of Los Angeles, California, and she loves spending time outdoors with her family, whether it's at the beach, a local park, the local mountains, or Disneyland (her favorite place on earth). She and her husband love salsa dancing, swing dancing, surfing, and hanging with the kids.
Our Founder Laura Jane:
Laura Jane is the founder and original designer of ChicKen ScRatch Slings. She started ChicKen ScRatch Slings in 2005 after the birth of her son. While running the ChicKen ScRatch business Laura Jane learned so much about websites and web design, she decided to start designing sites for other people. With her incredible talents and warm hearted charm, her web and graphic design business became so successful she decided to do that full time. |
