Kangaroo Carry
The Kangaroo carry is great for babies who have gained head control and like to see the world the same way that you do, facing out! Use these instructions below to learn how to carry your baby like a kangaroo!
- Hold the baby facing out and cross his legs so they are bent and tucked under each other.
- If your baby's legs do not easily bend in this position or if they have not gained head control, then your baby is still too young for this hold. This is recommended usually for 3 mos - 9 mos of age. (As you can see from the last photo, my son at 2 years of age is far too big to use the kangaroo position)
- Tuck baby into the pouch of the sling and tightly pull the rails of the sling.
