All ChicKen ScRatch customers must agree to our terms of use before purchasing any products. It is your responsibility to gather all information regarding ChicKen ScRatch products. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have a question. Safety Disclaimer: Please always use common sense and good judgement when caring for your baby in and out of a ChicKen ScRatch Sling. Keep a hand on your baby while bending over, in crowded areas and do not have your baby in any carrier when around hot stoves, fires, etc. Laura Jane's ChicKen ScRatch will not be held responsible for any misuse or lack of good judgement if your baby is injured while in the sling, etc. Please remember to always check your baby and make sure that there is nothing in the way of your baby's airway, including the baby's head position.
Privacy Policy: Any information you provide to us will be kept fully confidential. ChicKen ScRatch Slings will not sell your email address or phone numbers to any company. However, if you have contacted us regarding a question or a comment that requires a response, we will contact you with the information you provided. We will also email you with the shipping information, follow ups on your carrier after the sale and even offer you promotional discounts via email. If you would like to be taken off of our email listing, please let me know and it will be taken care of.
Shipping: All orders are shipped within 7 business days, although it is usually much quicker. Please keep in mind that we are a small mom-owned business, and all slings are hand designed and hand sewn, not factory produced. We also have our families to take care of in addition to ChicKen ScRatch. If you need your sling rush shipped, we will do everything possible, and a small fee of $15 extra will be added to the shipping price.
Shipping Areas: We will ship a product anywhere that you would like! For shipping to Canada, we will only ship via USPS Global Priority and you are responsible for any customs fees and or taxes that may occur. We have no control over fees that you may encounter and we will NOT mark a package as "gift" or any other false information as this is mail fraud.
Contacting Us: My customers are very important to me! I strive to answer all emails and inquiries within 24 hours. Please keep in mind that we do try to maintain a work schedule of Mon-Fri. We try not to answer emails or sew during our off time so that we may be there for our families.
Returns and Exchanges: We will gladly accept returns for defects within the first 5 days after the item has arrived. If you purchased a ChicKen ScRatch Sling through us, and the size is not appropriate, you may be able to return the sling, within 5 days, for a different size; only 1 exchange per order. Please read the Sizing Information Page regarding the sizes that we offer. No returns for custom or clearance slings. (Instock slings are classified as customs if the sizes or designs have been altered as well.) If you have contacted us and asked us to suggest a size, but a different size is ordered and you find that you need the suggested size, we will allow the return with a 10% stocking fee. We are here to help you make a decision, do not hesitate to contact us. We try very hard to answer all questions and guide you through the process of ordering, please know that we are here to help you every step of the way!
Directions on how to return an item: We ask that you ship the sling back to us, at your cost (unless there is a problem on our end, such as you receiving an incorrect carrier or defective stitching only), after notifying us of the return. We will happily pay to ship the new carrier back to you. All returns must be approved prior to sending it back to us; you will not receive store credit or a new sling until we received the original and declared it to be unused, unwashed and in unworn condition. We understand that you may need to try on the sling to determine correct sizing, however, the returned sling must not smell of smoke or any strong odors (including animals), it must not have pet hair, stains, etc. The sling must be in resalable condition. If we determine that we can not accept the return, you will be notified immediately and billed for the return shipping. Once this has been taken care of, we will send the original sling back to you. We have not had this happen once. We understand that our return policy and return instructions are very strict; however, this protects us from fraudulent buyers as well as keeping your costs down on our slings! We hope that you are/ will be happy with your purchase. We make every effort possible to give you as much information and pictures of all slings, so that you will know exactly what you will be receiving. If you have any questions about a product, please contact us. If you need help getting used to the product, further directions, etc, that is what we are here for!
